Through the values that Jesus taught us, we work together as one school family; to care for one another, to respect and forgive one another and to encourage one another to be the best that we can be.
A school’s ethos is so important and can rarely be captured in a simple statement or list alone. Our vision (above) guides our daily work in and beyond our school community and our ethos, aims and values build upon this vision.
Our ethos is central to everything that we do at Goldsborough. Those who see our school and its pupils in action begin to appreciate the ethos of our school community, the values that guide our interactions and the spirit with which we support each other at work and at play.
This visual representation of our Aims and Ethos was designed and created as a large mosaic by our pupils. At Goldsborough, all pupils understand and can personally invest in our aims and ethos. Our visual aims are revisited with pupils each year so that all members of our school community are able to play a key role in maintaining our school’s positive atmosphere for learning, friendship and achievement.
