In Sycamore, we had an exciting Ancient Egyptians Day where we immersed ourselves in the fascinating world of this ancient civilisation. We explored the process of mummification, learning how the Egyptians preserved their dead for the afterlife. We also discovered their unique number system, practised writing in hieroglyphs, and even created our own personalised cartouches, just like the pharaohs! It was a fun, hands-on way to bring history to life and understand the rich culture of Ancient Egypt.
