We encourage and support our children to be "courageous advocates". This means they champion causes which are special and meaningful to them. These may be global issues or matters far more personal and closer to home. They may bring stories to school about a charity they wish to support, or something they wish to raise awareness of within our school and wider community.
We believe this helps the children to understand and develop our key values of Happiness, Perseverance, Resilience, Kindness, Friendship and Respect - 'working together to be the best that we can be' means that children in our school develop teamwork, courage, independence and an understanding of the wider world. They know how they can help make it a better place, and this enables our children to flourish.
