At 11am on Friday 11th November, pupils and staff at Goldsborough gathered at the war memorial in the village to commemorate those fallen in the great war and in subsequent conflicts. Class 2 read their own Remembrance Day poetry, representatives from Class 1 laid our wreath, made from the outline of every child's handprint in red, and Class 3 and 4 read out the poem 'In Flanders Field'. Following a rendition of the Last Post on the trumpet, our school community observed 2 minutes of silence to remember fallen soldiers and their families. We will remember them.
