We have had a super day today. I have been very proud of the children in class 3. They displayed wonderful knowledge; were eager in their exploration of the sculptures; well-mannered with Vinny our artist and worked superbly together on their team sculptures.
As the coach descended the driveway, I could hear cries of, "There's a Barbara Hepworth," and "there's the running man." Vinny helped the children explore the sculpture and develop a deeper understanding of the 'family' of Hepworth sculptures. We saw a live mole and hidden mermaids, learnt about oxidation and a sculptor who went to prison for his ideas!
After lunch, the children produced some 'fantastic' sculptures of their own. They'll have to tell you about those!
