Healthy Breakfast?

Class 4 were part of a two condition experiment into healthy eating today. They were asked to pour out a normal bowl of cereal, then asked if they thought it was more or less than 30g (the recommended portion size for children). Not many pupils were confident as to whether or not their portion size was correct!

But... there was a twist: half of the class poured their cereal in a large, deep bowl, while the other half used a smaller bowl.

On average, the pupils who used the larger bowl poured out 4g of sugar (14 grams of cereal) more than in the smaller bowl.
