I hope you all had a great week and managed to keep trying really hard with your home learning. Remember to keep on giving it 100% and keep on top of those daily independent activities like TT Rockstars, Spelling, handwriting and Read Theory yourself. I hope you are feeling really proud of what you are doing at home and showing your parents lots of independence now with these.

Maths

I know that lots of you are still working hard using your Power Maths activity books. Well done with this. I am adding some links in here for the White Rose Daily Maths lessons too, so you can have a change. They are really clear and good fun. You may need your parent to do the first one or two with you but after that I think it should be really easy for you to do these independently too. Let me know what you think of the lessons and I’ll ask you about them when we speak this week.

 English

I know that you are all working really hard at your reading, spelling and handwriting and I am really proud of you all. I would really like you to have a go at using the BBC Bitesize website this week and try to do the grammar lessons for me. I will ask you what they are like when we talk next to see how you are finding them.

Writing

I would also like you all to spend a little bit of time writing each day this week, perhaps just 10 mins a day. If you are stuck for an idea then please have a look back at last week’s project, it was all about animals. I would like you to take some time to find out about a favourite animal and write an information sheet or story about it. You can even use your pets!

Talking of projects, I have added a new project for you for this week – it’s all about food! I can’t wait to see all the pictures you send through to show me your designs and what you have found out. Remember if you do any cooking as part of this topic then please show me that too!

I really love to see all the photos and work you send us in to Twitter @GS_Federation or by email, please keep sending them to me.

Take care and stay safe

Mrs Brearton
