Morning, I hope everyone has had a lovely Easter holiday and has made the most of the sunshine and having lots of time to spend with each other.
I have outlined a few more tasks for English, Maths and topic to keep you going with the ‘Home Learning’. Please share your work with us on our Twitter account @GSFederation or via the school email account [email protected].
English
Please use https://mailchi.mp/talk4writing/home-school-booklets. There are English booklets created for each year group.
Year 2 - The Year 2s will have a Greek Myth called Pandora’s Box and a workbook that will guide them through various grammar and punctuation activities. They will also probably recognise the poem “The Magic Box” as we looked at this at school a while ago.
Year 3 – The Year 3s will be finding out the truth about trolls! It builds upon the children’s previous learning about the traditional tale “The three Billy Goats Gruff”.
Both workbooks have comprehension and grammar activities, and the children can work through them at their own pace. In addition, there are links to recordings of the original stories so that the children can work independently.
The booklets may form their English for the next two weeks.
Maths

There is a guidance pack for parents, and a pupil pack. Each maths lesson shows a short video, and involves an independent task and then the answers can be checked together.
