We started off our Spring term with a 'Penguin Week', inspired by the book '365 Penguins'. In the book a family receives a penguin each day for a year which results in several complex problems. In maths, we spent time exploring these problems - how much would it cost to feed the penguins? How many would they have on a given date? In English, we explored the features of information texts based on penguins, and in science we investigated how blubber helps penguin stay warm in cold conditions.

As part of our art this term, we are exploring the artwork produced by Jon Tremaine, a current British artist. He creates images of animals composed of smaller sketches. We created our own drawings of pengiuns inspired by his style. Take a look at some of our masterpieces.
