As a federation, we proudly participate in The Schools Linking Network — Our Year 3 and 4 classes, Sycamore and Silver Birch, have been part of the project for several years with each year becoming more and more successful. It has been a great opportunity for our children to develop friendships with children from different backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.

As part of The Schools Linking Network, we have developed links with children from Victoria School, Keighley. Each year our first joint meeting takes place at Nell Bank, an outdoor learning centre, where children from each school come together to discover nature, engage in team-building activities, and kick-start their friendship-building process.

Following this, we embark on visits to each other's settings, creating opportunities for the children to gain first-hand exposure to diverse perspectives and cultural traditions, fostering empathy and respect. This year, as part of our Linking Schools programme, Victoria School will be showing us around their local Mosque, and we will be showing our new friends around our local church.

We will share our journey on the school website and via Twitter so that you can join us on this journey as we embrace diversity, celebrate individuality, and develop friendships.
