Today, we were lucky enough to have Itzil join us. She is a Mayan who came in to share what her life is like. We enjoyed writing like the Ancient Maya, reading their calendar, using their number system, playing Pok-a-tok and playing a game of Look. Felix even tried on a traditional head dress. We lots of interesting new facts. Did you know the wealthy Maya drilled holes in their teeth and added on gemstones? What an amazing day!
