portraits of the King

To celebrate the Coronation, the children have been busy creating their own portraits of our new King. The children used their sketching skills and looked closely at photographs of king Charles and St Edward's crown. They then used their colour mixing skills to mix his skin colour and a royal purple. To finish the border, they used the coronation invitations as inspiration and copied the flowers around the edge using oil pastels. The portraits look very professional and are now displayed in Goldsborough Church for the community to view.
