Class 3's Colour Monster display

It has been great to see everyone back in class, and to spend time together talking about our own experiences of the past few months. Our focus this half term is to help the children settle back into school routines, and develop a positive attitude towards learning.

Class 3 have spent time exploring the text 'The Colour Monster'. We read the book and thought about how we can manage our own emotions, as well as creating our own Colour Monster for 'tired'.

We have also set up our our emotion check-in area in class using the colour monster emotion cards. If we are upset we can move our named peg to the 'sad' monster, and our teacher then checks in with us.

Take a look at some of our own 'tired' monster scales. We explored synonyms for 'tired' in English, and spent time using the water colours to create the fading scale.
