Class 3 have spent time reading a fictional newspaper recount of King Tutankhamen's death. We began by discussing the key features of recounts, identifying them in the text and story mapping the events. We spent time creating our own hieroglyphics to learn the structure of the text. The children loved telling the story using their story maps. I look forward to reading their own versions later in the week!
