This week we have been learning all about Remembrance day and why we wear poppies.
We have made our own paper plate poppies and together we watched the Queen lay her wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier. We observed the 2 minute silence on Thursday at 11am and wrote about Remembrance Day, made medals and bookmarks with the 'In Flanders field' poem on.
The children have shown great empathy and understanding during this work.
