York uni workshop

We were lucky enough to have Steve, a maths lecturer from York University, visit us to talk about growth. He helped us use our knowledge of simple maths to investigate how things around us grow at different speeds, using fingernails, knitting, croissants and Covid-19 as examples, for example; How long does it take for a fingernail to grow? How many layers are there in a croissant? It was great to see how maths is all around us!
